On Friday night the Panthers scored first when Zach White launched a first inning solo home run to put the Panthers up 1-0.

South Putnam tied the game on a solo home run in the 2nd. In the 3rd the Eagles scored 10 runs on 8 hits to break the game open.

Meanwhile the RP offense managed only 4 singles: two by Coty Moretto, one by Tim Johnson and one by White.

Saturday, Covenant Christian jumped on RP starting pitcher Tim Johnson for 5 runs in the first inning as the first 7 batters in the game reached base.

RP got on the scoreboard in the second inning on back to back home runs by Blake Price and Ian Mitchell.

White added an RBI in the 3rd to make it 5-3 while Matt Haltom had relieved on the mound and held CC scoreless in the 2nd and 3rd innings.

To start the 4th inning for the visitors the first seven batter again reached base as CC would go on to score 7 times in the inning.

White would add a solo home run in the 7th for his second of the season. Tyler Yando was 2-4 with a double and Kyle Daugherty had a double and reached base three times.

Riverton Parke falls to 7-8 on the season. The Panthers will host North Vermillion on Wednesday for a varsity contest starting at 5:00 PM.
